Consumer
Credit Counseling Service of Fayetteville (CCCS) is a not-for-profit consumer
service and a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit
(NFCC). We are accredited by the Council
on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc. and certified by
the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide comprehensive
Housing Counseling services. We have
provided quality services to our community for over 30 years. CCCS has a strong history of helping
individuals to workout their debt and credit problems. Our services are not only comprehensive, but
also completely confidential and personalized to fit your needs, regardless of
your financial situation.
Our
main office is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We have branch offices in Goldsboro,
Lumberton, Smithfield, Sanford, and Coastal Carolina. We also serve people nation wide by phone, e-mail, and on-line
counseling.

At
your Neighborhood Financial Care Center, you have the benefit of being able to
sit down to discuss your financial problems thoroughly and honestly,
one-on-one. Our professional certified
counselors can help you see your way through the maze of your financial
difficulties, and design a program for you that will, once and for all, help
you reclaim your financial freedom. Our
individual counseling assists consumers in developing budgets and money
management skills.
We
can intervene on your behalf with your creditors. Working with you and your creditors, we can help you repay your
debts, and get back in good standing with them. We can reduce your monthly payments, stop collection calls, and
reduce or eliminate your finance charges.
The Debt Solver Plan is designed to assist consumers in paying
outstanding debt, avoiding bankruptcy, and minimizing legal and debt problems.
At
your Neighborhood Financial Care Center we provide a comprehensive housing
program that includes pre and post-purchase counseling, delinquent mortgage and
rental counseling, reverse mortgage, and predatory lending counseling.
Your
CCCS Neighborhood Financial Care Centers maintain materials to provide
educational programs in consumer decision-making, money management,
homeownership, and the wise use of credit.
The center uses multiple types of communication approaches such as
visual, print, and audio. CCCS works
with creditors to build partnerships in consumer education. The education diversion remains flexible to
meet the needs of the community at large through presentations, workshops, and
distribution of appropriate materials and information.
Your
CCCS Neighborhood Financial Care Center helps individuals with Financial
Planning. We provide information on mutual
funds, 401(k), plans, IRAs, rollovers, stocks, bonds, CDs, portfolios, and
more. A Registered Investments Advisor
will personally meet with the client to discuss long-term goals and provide
guidance to achieve those goals. This
service is provided at an affordable cost.

free of cost to the client when grant funds are available. You may check with the receptionist at the time of
your appointment. To
develop leadership capacity at the grassroots level, educate leaders about their
communities; and enhance understandings of the systems, processes, and
mechanisms that particularly affect low-to-moderate income families. The
main goal of this program is to aid the client to become employed. To achieve this objective, the agency
supports the client in his/her job search efforts, provides funds when
necessary for the purchase of equipment necessary for employment, the agency
also provides the funds for training, licenses or certifications required for
employment. Low-income
families are provided emergency assistance to maintain living necessities. Some of the most common areas where
assistance is provided are rent and electricity. In circumstances where the agency does not have funds to provide
assistance, referral to other local community agencies can be made to obtain
